This winter has taken its toll on all of us, and as Spring slowly starts to creep in, it is definitely time to make my home brighter, warmer, and ready for the great weather! The first thing that happens this time of year is that I bring out some of my very favorite recipes. You know, the ones that are popping with seasonal flavors, fresh fruit and vegetables, and COLOR!!!! Aqua fresca being made

Here are some of my very favorite Spring recipes:

Next on my “Spring-ification” of the home is brightening up the decor a bit. I headed on over to Wayfair.com’s kitchen store (thanks to a complimentary $100 gift card) and began shopping around. I was in desperate need of new cookware, and thought a new colorful pots and pans set could really add that pop of color I was looking for to our fairly boring kitchen.

Naturally I got sidetracked in my shopping because Wayfair has so many options. At one point, I definitely had a juicer, a storage piece, and lots of bathroom “things” in my cart (I may or may not be an ADD shopper).

But, cooler minds prevailed and I found myself back where I should be, in the kitchen section with my pots and pans. I finally settled on this red Paula Deen Savannah set because a) It was on sale, marked down from $159.95 to $79.98 on one of the sites great daily sales and b) Because last time I bought a pot with a touch of red, it made me smile every single time I pulled it out.

I am thrilled with my choice, and the revival of my kitchen to its happy, sunshine filled seasons! Before After

  1. I could definitely use a new set of pots and pans for my kitchen. I’m currently using one non-stick skillet, a tiny pot and a mismatch of a few other things – a complete set all in the same color (preferably mint green or salmon??) would seriously perk up my kitchen!
