We are not huge on frivolous gift giving in my house. As a matter of fact, we use holidays and birthdays as a time to get those things that have been on our wish list for quite some time. These occasions have brought home our bed, our car, and our sofa. Not a bad take!
This holiday season, one of my areas of focus is on my kitchen since it is one of the rooms I use the most. I don’t like a lot of clutter, so when I add to my kitchen, I like it to be things that I will use all the time, and that will make me smile when I use them.
Examples of kitchen items that fit this bill, and have already made themselves fixtures in my cooking include:
These are all items that I use several times a week, and love every time I use them. Those are big shoes to fill! However, here are a few items I think can fit the bill, and that would make me VERY happy to find next to the menorah this year…
Every kitchen needs a great chef’s knife. I never realized how important a good knife is until I got one. Now I can’t believe I have been cooking as long as I have without one!

The hardest thing about using a pressure cooker is knowing all the amazing things you can do with it. But once you learn (thank you mom for teaching me very young!) a whole new world of cooking is opened up to you!

A beautiful dinnerware set brings your whole meal together. Just be forewarned, if you are giving dinnerware as a gift, you better be pretty positive you have your recipient’s taste nailed!

What kitchen favorites would you be happy to receive this holiday season?
